平安時代前期、宮中の学者・大江維時（おおえ の これとき）によってもたらされた兵法書が、次第に修験道、陰陽道と交わり、出陣前の儀式や進軍方向の決定などを左右するようになりました。
この図は中国から伝わった八卦の図柄を中心に、方位や神仏の名前が書かれています。

In the early Heian period, military strategy texts brought to Japan by the court scholar Oe no Koretoki gradually merged with elements of Shugendō and Onmyōdō. These teachings came to influence rituals performed before battle as well as decisions regarding the direction of military advancement.
This diagram centers around the Chinese-originated Bagua (Eight Trigrams), and includes references to directions and the names of deities and Buddhas.
By studying this chart, we can gain insight into how military strategy was understood in the warrior society of the Edo period.
